Gangadhar Meher is one of the famous poets of Odisha. The Odisha Gangadhar Meher Sikhya Manakbrudhi Yojana 2021 has been named in his name. - Under GMSM scheme, a budget of Rs 430 crore has been set aside to provide bags to the school children’s studying in classes I to V and also free books and uniforms for the students of I to VIII, apart from all these free cycles for the students studying in government and fully aided schools, including OAVs in Class IX.
- Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT)will deposit a total of 1,002 crores for the scholarships of students.
- To convert some universities and colleges into Centres of Excellence 108 crore has been allotted.
- The Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya programme gave a total of Rs 280 crore to cover the costs of establishing and operating the schools.
- The Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan would cost Rs 3,066 crore, and the mid-day food scheme will cost Rs 957 crore, with the state contributing roughly 40%.
- To promote the use of green and clean fuel, 80 crores will be spent to install LPG connections in 10,000 basic and upper primary schools.
- A total of Rs 253 crore has been allocated to the MO School Program for the improvement for the infrastructure of school.
