SSC CHSL 2020 Tier-1 Syllabus in a descriptive manner
English Language – Fill in the blank, spot the difference, antonym, and synonym, Homonym, correct the wrong word, phrases & idioms, word substitute, sentence correction, active & passive voice of verb, direct into the indirect narration, shuffling of the sentence, shuffling of the sentence into the passage, cloze passage, comprehensive passage. This is the complete syllabus that is covered in the Subject English Language.
General Intelligence – This subject consists of both verbal & non-verbal type of Questions, this subject consists of Question that is the symbolic operation, figural analogy, semantic analogy, trends, space orientation, symbolic number analogy, vein diagram, number classification, figural classification, pattern folding & unfolding, semantic classification, punched hole, semantic series, figural pattern folding, and completion, Figural Series, embedded figures, Number Series, critical thinking, drawing an inference, word building, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, social intelligence, coding & decoding, and another sub-topic when there is any Numerical operation.
Numerical Aptitude –
A Number system – Number system consists of whole numbers, decimals, fractions, the relationship between the two number systems.
Basic arithmetical operations – percentages, Ratio & proportion, Square root, interest, (simple & compound), averages, loss and profit, discount, business partnership, time & work, allegation and mixture, time & distance.
Algebraic – linear equations graphs, basic algebraic of school algebra & Elementary surds (simple problems).
Geometry – Triangles & its different types of centers, Geometric facts and figures, similarities of triangles, tangents, circles, and cords, the angle subtended by chord, common tangents of more than two circles.
Mensuration – Quadrilaterals, Circle, Regular Polygons, Right Prism, right circular cone, Triangle, right circular cylinder, sphere, hemisphere, rectangular parallelepiped, a continuous right side pyramid with a triangular base or a square base.
Trigonometry – Complementary Angles, Trigonometric ratios, height & distance Trigonometry, only simple problems of trigonometric.
Statistical – Graphs and tables, Frequency polygon, histogram, bar diagram, and pie chart.
General Awareness – The main motive of the general awareness exam is to check or verify the applicant’s general awareness knowledge and the knowledge of the surrounding environment & social plus a day to day life things. The Question paper is designed in such a manner that they can test the applicant’s current events knowledge and daily news observation & experience the scientific aspects. The Question paper consists of questions related to India’s neighboring country and to know about the country’s history, Geography, Culture, Scientific Research, Economic scene, and General policy.
Note:
- There is a negative marking in the SSC CHSL 2020 tier-1 examination, there is a 0.5 marks penalty for every wrong answer.
- For the visually handicapped candidates, the exam duration will be 75 minutes.

SSC CHSL 2020 Tier-2 Examination Syllabus
After clearing the tier-1 examination the candidates will have to appear in the tier-2 examination which is a descriptive type exam in which the candidates have to write an essay, letter/application. The main motive of this tier-2 examination is to test the writing skills of the candidates, candidates have to write the essay, letter/application, etc on the paper with the pen physically. As we mentioned that SSC CHSL tier-1 examination is a writing skills examination and it consists of essay writing that should be of word count from (200 to 250 words) and when it comes to letter or application writing you have to write the application or letter of word count between 150 t0 200 words. In the essay writing, you have to write an essay on topics like

- Geopolitics
- Environmental concern

Here are some key points you need to go through while attending the SSC CHSL tier-2 examination. These key points are as follows
- The SSC CHSL tier-2 exam is a 100 marks question paper with 60 minutes time duration.
- The question level is based on 10 levels.
- The examination is qualifying in nature.
- The question paper is available in English and Hindi.
- 80 minutes time duration is given to the candidates who are visible blinds.
SSC CHSL 2020 Tier-3 Examination Syllabus
The third stage of SSC CHSL Examination or we can say tier-3 is a stage that comes after tier-2, the candidates enter when after they clear the merit procedure as the candidates are selected based on merit that is marks obtained from the tier-1 and tier-2 exam. After clearing the two-level examination the candidates appear in the third round that is a skill test or we can say typing speed test in this candidate has to qualify the typing speed test on computer.
In the tier-3 level, the candidate should have the 8000 key depression per hour on your Desktop PC keyboard. The total time of tier-3 examination is 15 minutes and a document consisting of 2000-2200 words is being given to the candidates and asked to type as fast as they can, and based on tier-3 marks, they secure a position in the SSC CHSL Examination.

SSC CHSL 2020 Examination Eligibility Criteria
Staff selection commission board has fixed some eligibility criteria, the candidates who want to appear in the SSC CHSL 2020 examination have to fit in these criteria, in case they fail to fit in these criteria then they will not be allowed to apply for the SSC CHSL examination.
