Tier – 1 CHSL Pattern Description
SSC CHSL tier 1 is an MCQ type exam and it contains a total of 200 marks and the candidate should attempt all the hundred questions divided into four sections to qualify the exam, you can see the tier 1 CHSL Exam Pattern below.

The SSC CHSL Paper Pattern contains two languages Hindi and English candidates can understand the question in both mediums dear one exam paper contains a negative marking scheme of 0.50 marks deduction if a candidate selects the wrong answer.
Tier 2 CHSL Paper Pattern
In this tier, there is a 2 descriptive type question paper contain under 100 marks. The candidate needs to answer all the questions in an offline mode. And, that paper will be conducted for 1 hour only and 20 minutes extra given to the candidate who is using scribes in the examination

- Candidate must have a minimum of 33% marks in tier two examination for the next round.
- Candidates’ performance in Tier 2 exam will be considered in the merit list.
- Candidate needs to answer the question in one language either English or Hindi any other language is not applicable in the examination.
Tier 3 CHSL Paper Pattern
This tier conducts testing for the data entry operator and typing speed and compulsory for the candidates applied for the data entry operator or lower division clerk(LDC) in different departments, the exam will be conducted in the computer provided by the commission. Only those candidates will be shortlisted for this tier examination who had qualified the previous tiers 1 & 2 examinations. Candidates should have a minimum of 33% in total of the previous both tiers.
Data entry operator/LDC: Candidates should type 8000 integration on computer keyboard depression will be counted on correct type words the duration of the exam is 15 minutes only and Printed matter in 2000 to 2200 (key depressions) will be given to the candidate on the same computer.
Data entry operator/LDC for (CA&AG): Data entry operator Comptroller and Auditor General of India candidate must have the ability of typing 15000 key depressions per hour on a computer keyboard and the corrected words will be counted, The duration of the exam is 15 minutes only printed matter of 3700 to 4000 (key depressions) will be given to the candidate on the same computer.
